POSITION TITLE:  Human Resources Generalist

DEPARTMENT:  Human Resources

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This position has the responsiblity for preparing hourly and salary payroll.  Assists the Human Resource Manager with the full range of human resource, personnel administration, and employee relations activities.  Recommend and assist in the implementation of policies and programs in such areas as recruitment, employment, training, wage, salary, benefits administration, employee counseling, discipline and safety. 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Assist in maintaining overall supervision of the company's recruitment and placement training programs. 
  • Work with temporary employment service to ensure adequate employee coverage on shifts and aid temporary employees during rollover to full-time employment. 
  • Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations. 
  • Assist in the formulation and recommendation of personnel policies to meet company objectives. 
  • Assist in the administration of wage and salary policies, procedures and structure and performance appraisal programs. 
  • Assist in protecting the interest of employees in accordance with the company's personnel policies and appropriate governmental laws and regulations such as OSHA, ERISA, Fair Labor Standards Act, ADA, etc. 
  • Assist in maintaining various activities designed to promote and maintain a high level of employee morale, including active participation in employee meetings. 
  • Assist in the administration of health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, Employee Assistance Program, short-term disability and long-term disability programs. 
  • Assist in maintenance of the time/attendance programs. 
  • Comply with LMC Export Compliance Manual.
