Supply Chain Planner

 Job Overview: 

Responsible for the day-to-day management of the order fulfillment process of a designated group of customers and manufacturing cells.  Provide excellent customer service through strong demand planning, supply planning, scheduling and inventory management.  Drive operational excellence within the customer fulfillment process.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:   

  • Configure the planning and scheduling systems to ensure a high level of On-Time Delivery, of plant efficiencies and inventory utilization for their order fulfillment segment.
  • Interface, on a daily basis, with customers, account management, operations, purchasing, and engineering.
  • Maintain data integrity of system data and performance for your group of products and customers.
  • Support the company safety initiatives.
  • Provide input and review of item masters, planning requirements and customer material authorizations.


  • 3 years of discrete manufacturing planning experience.
  • Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure /cost of poor quality.
  • Ability to solve problems, prioritize and make effective decisions in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to establish logical and practical solutions.
  • Intermediate computer skills, ideally with Microsoft products, EDI and ERP systems. Must have the ability and inclination to learn new process and systems.

  • Discrete manufacturing planning experience, required.
  • Demand planning, order management experience preferred.
  • Strong Excel analytical skills preferred.
  • BS/BA Degree with relevant experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • The ability to make decisions, problem solve and prioritize assignments
  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment is a plus.
